If people are looking for alternative lifestyles, what’s the matter with “mainstream”?
Article: “Ten awesome alternatives lifestyles”
The matter of the mainstream is that people could get pressure or stress from their normal lifestyle. Most adult people have their jobs in their lifestyle to earn money that is essential for their lives or to achieve their own aims. However, in some cases, people feel uncomfortable in their working places and get too much stress from their job. As a result, some people try to find alternative lifestyles to refresh or change their lifestyles.

Question: How have lifestyles around the world changed because of the internet and the media? How has the “mainstream” lifestyle changed in your corner of the world?
Article: “This Australian company gives employees 12 weeks of “life leaves” every year”
Lifestyles have been changing due to the improvement of technology. This is because the internet or media can be large benefits in workplaces in terms of information transport. However, at the same time, they also have a negative impact on the human’s health and lifestyle. By getting efficient internet and media, the mainstream lifestyle became “living with technology anytime”. Hence, some people want an alternative lifestyle to escape the stress from their normal job.

How has the “mainstream” lifestyle changed in your corner of the world?

Through the generations, the mainstream lifestyle has changed. As an example, in the old days, people used to think it is unordinary to have a plant-based diet and live as a vegan. However, through the internet and other sorts of media, there is an increase in number of people who are vegan. Thus being vegan has become mainstream in our days. There are many restaurants which serve plant-based dishes and also there are restaurants for vegans. These trends decide whether they are mainstream or not. So I think that through generations, the mainstream lifestyle will change based upon the trends which the societies are experiencing.

How have lifestyles around the world changed because of the internet and the media?
The answer for this question is the internet and the media have included part of their lifestyle nowadays. A few years ago when the technology had not developed, so they do not spend the time using smartphones but by innovating technology such as the internet and the media, it had become that it is normal for people to spend time using the internet and the media on their smartphones. So the lifestyle around the world has changed nowadays due to the internet and the media.

I also think the internet and the media had become a part of our lifestyle due to technological improvement and we know they sometimes affect human life in a negative way. For example, they may have a negative impact on our health if we addicted to them too much. Hence, that is an example of how lifestyles around the world altered by the internet and the media.

If people are looking for alternative lifestyles, what’s the matter with “mainstream”?
I guess it would be inconvenient if I quit from the mainstream because human beings can’t live long like a maverick so we need to help each other and group up.
but there are several drawbacks of being a group. for example, people feel tight or being pressurized in the society so some might get annoyed from the mainstream.

Q: If people are looking for alternative lifestyles, what’s the matter with “mainstream”?

A: Following the “mainstream” lifestyle would make people’s behavior look similar to each other. I think people are trying to avoid “mainstream” lifestyles to make them differentiated from others so they look more outstanding.

Q: How have lifestyles around the world changed because of the internet and the media? How has the “mainstream” lifestyle changed in your corner of the world?

A: As shown in the article, people are attracted to become digital nomads because of their convenience and flexibility when they are working. The Internet and the media make our life convenient and efficient which can boost our working speed. As technology develops, technology took a big portion of people’s life. And this also affected my lifestyle because I’m also one of the general people in the society.

Question: If people are looking for alternative lifestyles, what’s the matter with “mainstream”?

The matter with the mainstream is an obstacle for all the people including me when looking for alternative lifestyles. Mainstream lifestyle, in other words, is a normal lifestyle which everybody considers as their “Confort Zone”. To alter one’s lifestyle, he/she has to step out of their comfort zone which is very challenging. This is mainly because humans tend to are afraid of changes that occur around them. However, I strongly believe that looking for change is worth trying no matter the difficulty. The reason behind my strong opinion is because I have faced many lifestyle changes which brought countless benefits even though these changes weren’t my decision.
